The error
1. CodeCharge Studio trashes your main PHP script file and turns itr into about 1.6 meg of garbage characters. When Published the page displays about 1.6meg of Kanji Charactewrs and locks up your browser.
has been solved by Codecharge. There is a simple fix for this indeed annoying error. Ask support for this. |

Just in general,
I am using Codecharge already since a long time, several years now. I've got 3 huge websites all built more or less completely around Codecharge.
I find and have always found it a fantastic program that served me well for a long time.
And yes, there are some annoying bugs in the software that should be solved by Codecharge engineers. Still, I have of course looked around for alternatives but haven't found one that is just as easy to work with as Codecharge.
I find their support department great. I have had a few issues I had to ask support to help me with and I have always had an answer within the next hour (bearing in mind the time difference of course) and had answers that really helped me.
If Codecharge would bring out version 5.0 with a fix for all the bugs from version 4, I would buy it immediately, despite the fact that the new version 5.0 probably would contain a same number of new bugs.

Hi Terhart
Thanks for the reply.
The PHP script trashing error: Support sent me a DLL and was told to modify a Registry entry. I installed the DLL. The registry entry they told me to change did not exist. I added the new registry key they specified and set it as they indicated.. It did not fix the problem.
Could you share the fix with me. Thanks..
BTW We agree with you regarding CCS and the fact that it is a great tool. In fact, We had never seen a better one for developing web applications. We have built many large and complicated and significant web based applications using CCS.
However, These days, since YesSoftware has been ignoring the basics of the framework and not focusing on servicing bugs to make CCS reliable, we spend more time battling the Bugs and un-reliability of the IDE than actually writing code.
We are reluctantly evaluating different frameworks for replacing CodeCharge Studio only because we require a more bug free and robust development environment as we go forward. It is too bad since we would have prefered staying with CCS but we can no longer afford the high cost of using CodeCharge Studio in terms of lost development time and revenue.
This current project we are working on, CodeCharge Studio has cost us real dollars in lost development time and client perception. YesSoftware's Support responses have not been forthcoming in resolving these problems or even providing me with an estimate of time to fix so we can inform our client.
Thanks again
Have fun.
